Injury Prevention

All injuries from minor aches/pains, chronic problems, to traumatic accidents can be completely alleviated so they never become a restriction.

Through minimization of the wear-and-tear placed upon the body on a daily basis in conjunction with restoring normalcy to the body's protective mechanisms, injuries never have to limit you from enjoying life.

Post-Traumatic and Post-Surgical Rehabilitation

Severe injuries (resulting from medical emergencies, car accidents, etc.) commonly result in lingering disabilities and or limitations.

Most of these problems are correctable. The reason why a body part “never feels the same” after a severe injury is linked to the unconscious compensations never being reversed. This is also very prevalent for individuals that undergo orthopedic surgeries. Surgery readily corrects structural problems but if the biomechanical (how the body moves) issues that caused the structural damage are never amended, limitations will naturally continue to persist.

Athletics Optimization

No matter the sport, all athletic activities require instantaneous reactions from adaptable muscles.

By enhancing the body's capabilities specific to the intricate movements of the desired sport, key athletic advantages are readily achieved. “Athleticism” and the physical skills necessary to move efficiently can be trained through specific training regimen. What most people think is 100% output or max capability is astronomically less than what is humanly possible.

I started physical therapy about the same time I started golfing. I was very bad at it. I shot about 136 when I first started. I also had chronic knee pain when I was golfing, swinging, etc. After a few sessions with Dr. Kai, I was able to knock off 10-15 strokes right away, within a few weeks. Dr. Kai was able to get rid of the knee pain as well, improve my form a lot, and most recently I shot below 100. So that is 37-ish strokes that have come off my golf game. And I don’t have any knee pain.

Vestibular Rehabilitation and women’s health

Dizziness, vertigo, pregnancy complications, and even age related limitations are not only treatable but are preventable.

These symptoms are definitely not a natural part of “getting old” or a part of how mother nature works, although the risk of symptom development does increases with age. For both the vestibular system and the core the complexity of how they work in conjunction with how the body can never turn either of them off is why seemingly permanent problems commonly occur. Through finding the limiting factor and fixing it, the debilitating problems can be completely alleviated.

I started PT about six months ago, and I have been seeing physical therapists since I was about 15 (and I'm 35). In all those years I have never gotten the results that I have gotten in the last five months. Things that I thought I would never be able to do again like sprinting, jumping, and even hip work outs, I can do those things now because I was given the skillset and the ability to find and finetune, knowing what the issue is. Targeting these things is what Dr. Kai taught me. Literally, restoring my faith in my own body and my own body's capabilities to heal itself, take care of itself. But mostly that my body was never falling apart. I just needed to know what it needed.

Dr. Kai has been super special in my life for making sure that I have the faith in being able to do everyday things but also those things that I thought were astronomical like running, jumping, playing tennis, etc. I have got my confidence back with all of them because of Dr. Kai.

Knowing how to use my pelvic floor in everyday function was a big deal. No one had EVER told me how to use it and that it was such a major part of my everyday mechanical life. I have had four babies, so my pelvic floor was out of the game when I started PT. I have learned how to engage my pelvic floor and that was mainly Dr. Kai telling me, teaching me how important it is, but him also being able to recognize when I wasn't engaging or when I was fatigued. Teaching me to recognize these things is why I literally have a new body.

Optimize Functionality

Most people do not enjoy strenuous labor, but by no means should such tasks be torturous or seem impossible to do.

Almost everyone has adequate strength to perform daily chores with zero pain, even if they have moderate injuries. However the inefficiency resulting from the body not being able to work in harmony limits one's capabilities. There is absolutely no need to strain one's body when it simply has to erase and overcome ingrained bad-habits.
